So after reading my many many many posts on the delights of ramen, my friend Etsuko decided to take me and our other friend Leslie to the ramen museum. Can you believe there is such a thing?? The museum part is neat, but very small and all in Japanese (surprise). The main attraction is the downstairs restaurants. You walk down the stairs and are greeted by a "conductor" who welcomes you to 1958. The entire basement is really well decorated like the 50s! It was amazingly detailed! There were clothes hanging on laundry lines, dogs barking in the background and even fake moisture painted on the walls. There are 9 ramen shops to choose from, representing all the different types of ramen from around Japan. Some of the shops are always there, and some rotate out to get more styles in. It's a big honor to have a shop here and can apparently lead to wealth in the ramen industry!! It was so much fun and delicious to boot. I highly recommend that if you're in Yokohama you stop by!
Can you believe that there are this many types of ramen noodles?!

soo sorry I missed that - sounds like a fun place to go
